TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY:
The Back-to-School Question
The kick-off to the Fall season begins with Back-to-School, celebrated by parents and reviled by kids. With COVID relatively under control, school will be mostly in person for the first time in three years. Accordingly, that raises a number of questions:
With consumers increased spending on travel, entertainment, and dining out, what does that bode for the Back-to-School selling season?
What impact is inflation having on the consumer, manufacturer and retailer?
Will Back-to-School be more or less promotional than last year?
What merchandise categories are expected to show positive/negative trends vs last tear?
Will the Back-to-School season be a precursor for Holiday sales?
Join us for an overview of the Back-to-School season so far, predictions for how it will play out, and perspectives on the market from the manufacturing, wholesale, and retail sectors.
Our webinar will kick off with a short, up-to-the-moment summary of the latest goings-on in retail. Our Subject Matter Expert is Patrick McKeever, President and Founder of The Daily on Retail.
